Video of the Week – Origins of Heroism

In the build up to next week’s Stunt Trouble workshop, we’re throwing back to last year’s Superhero Film Shoot.

This week’s video of the week is… Origins of Heroism!

Made by the brilliant Superhero Film Shoots crew in Balham last year, the film features some brilliant stunt tricks, special effects and of course slow motion moments. It combines the different elements of action films brilliantly and is a great inspiration for any white-knuckle action film.

The film gives a really nice introduction to each our main characters, something that is vital within any thrilling action movie – we need our audience to invest in our main character(s) in order to build suspense (will they/won’t they defeat the enemy) and to create the overall ‘hero’ effect. Origins of Heroism also has some great on-screen illusions and camera tricks to create effective fight scenes and stunts.
