That’s a wrap!

It was all systems go during the final day of our three day Halloween workshop, as the ultimate nemeses would finally battle it out to decide who wins the ultimate face-off. Our young filmmakers were pulling out all of the stops to bring as much suspense and horror to their films as they possibly could. Now that they had perfected their filmmaking techniques and special effects and make-up skills, they were ready to create some horror movie magic.

Filmmakers on the set have been busy for three days making the ultimate Halloween monster movie - Aliens vs Zombies!

In Highgate, we saw a group taking their special effects skills to the next level by recreating an underground zombie scene, with a body resurfacing from the ground. In Hampstead, we saw another group exploring the uses of live scoring to bring heaps of suspense to their live action horror film. Our Balham and Chelsea centres created fantastic visuals with extreme make-up, such as using wax to create bite marks and wounds.

Our young filmmakers were racing with time to ensure all of their shots were completed and ready for editing. We can’t wait to see the finished projects, but perhaps we may need to invest in a few more pillows to hide behind!

Thank you to everybody who joined us for our Aliens vs. Zombies workshops. It was all great fun. We can’t wait to share the final videos with you – watch this space! – and look forward to move half term movie making again soon!
