On Set With… Sheena at The Saturday Film Shoots

We catch up with Studio Film School workshop leader Sheena, who gives us an insight into what her crew (ages 7 – 9) have been up to this term:

My group and I are VERY excited about it being the cinema term! For those who don’t know this term we are shooting something specifically to be shown at the big Studio Film School cinema event in September!

We have done lots of great exercises to prepare us for this exciting task, including putting in some dedicated time trying out acting and directing techniques.

The group have been busy editing their film, we can't wait to share the finished version with you at the Red Carpet Premiere

Our main focus for this term is thinking about narratives which are non linear. We’ve just had a great editing session where we experimented with putting a sequence together in lots of different orders, so for example starting with the ending, followed by the beginning and middle. We have had great fun discussing which order was the best and most creative way of telling our story.
I’m really excited about the film we have decided to make, but I am not going to give much away about it… The only thing I will say is that some of it is set in Veggie Ville…
Can’t wait for you to see it!
