Scene: Autumn Take: One!

On Saturday our new season of filmmaking started rolling. We had Saturday Film Shoot sessions in Muswell Hill and Balham for 7-13 year olds, as well as our brand new group for 14-17 year olds: Studio Start Ups.

Our Start Ups session is gearing up to be a really exciting project as the group hone their skills and look to enter their films into a range of filmmaking festivals and think about forging a career in the film industry.

This week the Start Ups looked at the art of the long take, as we created a range of films that are shot in just one shot. This is a lot more difficult than it sounds, as the group had to think like a choreographer: where will the camera go, and how to we get everyone in place? Of course, if anything went wrong (which of course it did!) then we had to reshoot the whole thing!
